On the chorus of ‘Out of My Head’, he emotionally belts out “To shut out feeling lonely, I get out of my head / lost everything around me / not dealing with it well…why would you want to love somebody when love hurts in the end?” This emotionally driven song comes from a dark place, showcasing Newman’s soulful vocals. The single has a retro jive, with vulnerability and intensity of his sad tones making it authentic. Newman has been nominated for two Brit awards, including Best British Male, and is one of the most successful and praised British singers in 2013.
