Ricky Wilson has been confirmed to join the judging panel of The Voice UK. The singer joins returning judges Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones alongside fellow new coach Kylie Minogue for the third series of the talent show, which will be screened by BBC1 from January next year. "Who doesn't want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue? I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am were total superstars," Wilson told the BBC. He also emphasised that his decision to join the show doesn't mean the end of Kaiser Chiefs, adding: "I'm just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!" He also tweeted Minogue telling her: "I'm sat with my bags on the doorstep. What time you picking me up?" The pair replace departing coaches Jessie J and The Script singer Danny O'Donoghue. It's the second time Wilson has been asked to be a judge on the show. He told The Daily Star last year that he turned down an initial approach before the first series from the BBC as "It didn't feel right." BBC Entertainment Commissioning Controller Mark Linsey welcomed Wilson's appointment, saying: "Ricky is one of the UK music scene’s great frontmen. He knows all about performance and will complement the rest of the coaching line-up perfectly."NME..
