Rihanna has labelled Daily Mail columnist Liz Jones a "sad sloppy menopausal mess" after the writer criticised her for being a poor role model in the newspaper. The singer posted an image of Jones on her Instagram page this afternoon (June 25) along with a lengthy caption in which she called the writer "amateur" and said she had never wanted to be a role model, urging her to contact her if she had anything else to say. "LOL! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!" Rihanna wrote. "If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here's a toxic tip: don't be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What's all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos? That shit ain't clever! That shit ain't journalism! That's a sad sloppy menopausal mess!" NME Rihanna was responding to a column Jones wrote in the Daily Mail today, in which she claims the singer is a bad role model to her young fans, accusing her of promoting "drug-taking, drinking and the sort of fashion sense on stage that surely invites rape at worst, disrespect at least." The column ends with Rihanna being labelled a "poisonous pop princess" who "should come with a government health warning".
